DIY Christmas Orange Garland
The holidays are such a fun and nostalgic time. It's my favorite time of the year to get creative and craft. There isn't anything revolutionary about this project, but it's just fun and SO inexpensive! This orange and cranberry garland will cost less than $10 and it makes me think of Christmas at my grandmas house (in the best way possible 😉)

Lighting in a space can change the way a space feels. It is important to think about how you will be using this space and pick lighting accordingly. When choosing electrical wiring or light fixtures for your home it is important to make sure you know the different types of lighting to avoid a frustrating situation down the road. Over head lights are your can lights, flush mounts, or fluorescents. Any lighting that comes from overhead and is your main source of light in a space. I generally like for this lighting to not be noticed, it should blend with its surrounding. Task lighting is specifically designed to shine light on the work that is to be done. Reading, knitting, crafting, cooking, and office work are all examples of task lighting. Hanging pendant lights, undercounted lights, desk lamps, puck lights are all good options to achieve good task lighting. Accent lighting emphasizes your personal style by illuminating wall art, family photos, architectural details, and other decor elements of your living room. Examples of accent lighting would be wall mounted picture lights, led strips, and spot lights.Decorative lighting mixes lighting and decor to create your unique living room style. Lights that serve ambient, task, or accent functions can also serve as decorative lighting decor, making it easy to find fixtures that fulfill this need while addressing other illumination concerns. Kitchen pendant lights can also fall under this category if good overhead lighting is provided. This is ideal in a kitchen so limitations are not applied when choosing a decorative light with minimal bulbs which tends to be the more stylish option.

Wanted to wish everyone a Happy Fourth! I hope you are able to spend today with family and friends soaking up everything we have to be grateful for in this great country!!!!! I made this super simple center piece using old mason jars, acrylic paint, tape, and some sticker stars. For the greenery I just took some out of another arrangement I had in the house. These are all supplies you may already have in your home. If you don't have mason jars look around the fridge or pantry for something similar. Basically any container will do here. Now for some easy & delicious snacks! These strawberry cheesecake bites hit the spot for everyone. They are so simple. First, core the center of each strawberry, then make the icing & fill each strawberry with it, lastly top each strawberry with crushed graham cracker. If you would like to watch a video on how to make these visit my instagram @tabithaclark_ for a IGTV. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Tabitha Clark (@tabithaclark_) The fruit lemon cakes are just as easy! Similar setup with a different spin on it. I also make these with a sugar cookie base (aka fruit pizza) but when I had a moment of genius and just purchased store bought sliced lemon cakes I just couldn't help but give myself a pat on the back. This recipe requires a store bought sliced lemon cakes as its base. Next miix ingredients to make the icing and top with fruit of your choice. There is also an IGTV @reclaimedwarehouse Instagram page if you woud like to watch a video on these cuties being made. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Tabitha Clark (@tabithaclark_)
Read moreCreating a home office space
Creating a home office space doesn’t have to be a daunting task. First, consider how you are going to use the space. Does it require certain gadgets? Will you need special lighting? I like to make a list of all the needs of my space first. Next, find the best location in your home for this. This could be a closet, a corner or empty portion of a wall, or maybe you have a whole room dedicated towards this new space. Considering the size of the location and what the goals are for the space you need to create a budget for completing the room. While looking for a location I like to check out my electrical outlets. This could become very important if hiring an electrician is out of the question. If lighting is an issue in this space don’t be afraid to get creative. Hanging lamps, floor lamps, battery powered bulbs are always options so just because there isn’t a fixture currently in the spot you want it doesn’t mean that there can’t. Office supplies & organization is where it starts to get fun. How will you keep your things organized & what will those types of things be? Think through all surfaces, vertical and horizontal. Normally our first thought is to place things on the desk but let's remember we have unused space up on the walls. Maybe hanging file organizers instead of a drawer or desktop file organizer. Jar organizers attached to a wall could also be fun. This is where I like to think out of the box and really get creative with using items differently than what they were intended for. Now make it your own with your personal style. Choosing a color palette for the space is typically where I would start if I do not already have a statement piece to work off of. A tip for choosing color palette is to purchase your rug, wall decor, or draperies first and then form your color palette off of that. The power of a plant in a space is crucial! It immediately gives that cozy lived in feel. Something about adding just that little bit of green can do so much. I’ve gone through my share of houseplants before I found the ones that I just can’t kill. These are plants that I personally have and have worked very well for me. I have several (I actually think 7) snake plants in my house. I think it may actually be impossible to kill these. I have a small pot of 3 on the shelf above my bathtub and I forget they are there all the time so they sometimes miss my Sunday watering schedule every now and then. Monstera Delicisoa might be my favorite because of how it looks. I love the shape of the leaves. It also seems to grow rather quickly. This plant doesn’t require much sunlight to grow so it works perfectly for a bedroom or bathroom where the sunlight may be limited. Monstera Delicisoa might be my favorite because of how it looks. I choose the same day every week to water my houseplants to keep it easy. If you start to notice dust on your leaves make sure to wipe those off periodically with a damp cloth or a cloth spritzed with thieves cleaner. Plants breathe through their leaves so keeping those wiped off will keep them happy. Cute containers are always a fun way to add some flair to your plants and really top off your decor. *TIP* If you are not ready to repot just yet but want to change the look of your pot consider a cut basket to set your plant down in!
